Dar es Salaam, Tanzania Meeting with President Jakaya Kikwete
On 23 March last, a delegation of the Community of Sant’Egidio was received by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Jakaya Kikwete, in the State House of Dar es Salaam.
Different themes were tackled throughout their conversation, especially those pertaining to the work undertaken by the Community for peace in Africa as well as its DREAM programme for the struggle against AIDS in Tanzania.
President Kikwete praised the Community highly for its humanitarian activities and guaranteed all his support for the development of DREAM in the country.
