The DREAM centre of Conakry recently received a visit from Mme Sangaré Maimouna Bah, Minister for Public Health of the new Guinean government which has been in place since the resolution of last February’s crisis. Mme Bah had words of sincere regard for the Community of Sant’Egidio, recalling its work for peace in Africa. “Peace is the most precious asset of all,” she said, “as we Guineans are only too well aware.”

During her visit to the centre, the minister also complimented the DREAM team, giving assurance of her support and pledging to promote more decisive and effective steps to enhance prevention of vertical transmission among HIV-positive women in the country.
