Matola, Mozambique – A load of gifts for the nutritional center
Ivan Velhanos and his beautiful family – Evan, Elis and Vanessa – have transformed last Saturday in a nice party day at the Nutritional Centre of the Community of Sant'Egidio in the city of Matola, near Maputo. They came loaded with gifts: two brand-new sewing machines, three pot, mats and fabrics. "Your gesture fills our hearts with joy," said Ivone, one of the activists responsible for the kitchen, who prepares the meals for hundreds of children.
Ivan is a young Mozambican entrepreneur who wanted to visit the center and demonstrate his fondness for what is being offered to the children of Matola. "I was moved. Each one of us must show his affection and gratitude. As a duty of responsibility to those most in need".
The sewing machine and the fabric will be used to the dressmaking, one of the activities of the center, which we hope will soon become a professional tailor. One of the dreams of the activists of the DREAM program!
The pots, of 100 liters each, are great for the kitchen. And the mats for the children of the asylum will make their break, after the snack, more comfortable.
"Thank you, Ivan. We really hope that, with your family, you will accept our invitation for the Christmas dinner! "Said Ivone, after the photo session.
Afterwards, all off to the garden to play. Slide and swings for everyone!
