DREAM’s mobile clinic in Mozambique relieves resettlement areas in the Dondo district of Sofala: it is an initiative of the Community of Sant’Egidio in collaboration with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) that aims to bridge the health care gap in the rural areas of Mutua and Savane, where people displaced by the 2019 cyclones, Idai and Kenneth, and the terrorist attacks in Cabo Delgado live.

A team of nurses and health technicians, once a week, ensures access to paediatric and adult screening; and those unable to travel to the mobile clinic are reached with home visits.
The outreach action includes a health education activity and bears the significant name “Niguem fica sozinho“, which becomes a promise for the populations in the resettlement areas far from the health units.

Thanks to the mobile clinic in Savane and Mutua, many people were able to have access to health services for adult and paediatric screening, and sick people received home visits.
