We were thus able to show the results of steady and patient work that has allowed us to create a center of excellence for care, recognized and deeply rooted in the city.
The President personally greeted each member of the DREAM staff, praising their professionalism and commitment which, taken together, have created a family-like environment capable of protecting life and restoring health to many. His words highlighted a simple truth: when people work together with dedication, what is built endures over time and becomes a good for all.

One of the patients spoke to personally thank the President: free access to treatment had saved his life. He described DREAM as “a blessing for the city” and expressed the hope that this quality of care could be replicated in other regions of the country. Moments like this remind us why this work continues, day after day.

The President then wished to greet every patient personally, paying particular attention to the care pathway dedicated to pregnant women and children: vaccinations, check-ups, follow-up, and health education have, in recent years, made it possible for many healthy children to be born. He also emphasized that thanks to our work, childhood vaccination coverage in several neighborhoods of the city has improved significantly.

As he was leaving the Clinic, the President met members of the Community of Sant’Egidio in Bangui and said:
“It is thanks to Sant’Egidio that there is peace in this country, thanks to your discreet and long-standing work. With Sant’Egidio, we were able to reach out to the rebels and together seek the path of reconciliation. Help the Community grow in the Central African Republic: it will help us build a better country.”
