A meeting in Dublin, “Food assistance in the context of HIV: handbook review”, has just come to a close.

We believe the DREAM delegation gave a significant contribution to these days, which were attended by representatives of the World Food Program, the World Health Organization, FAO and other international organizations. The DREAM presentation underlined the importance of integration between nutritional support and therapy in contexts affected by the HIV epidemic. DREAM also insisted that patient participation in the programme was a key element in guaranteeing effectiveness of treatment and better adherence to therapy.
The experience of the association “Mulheres para DREAM” attracted widespread interest, as did the numerous cohorts of children receiving treatment.

DREAM managed to solicit more attention at international level about them, about all the other millions of children who experience the tragedy of the disease and about an immoral scarcity of treatment.
