The Archbishop of Lilongwe, His Excellency Tarcisius Gervazio Ziyaye, visited the hospital missionary Francisco Palau run by the Carmelite Sisters, and the DREAM center that operates within the hospital.

S.E. Tarcisius Ziyaye is a good friend of the Community of Sant'Egidio and when he was Archbishop of Blantyre, he repeatedly visited the DREAM center in the district of Mandala.

The Archbishop visited the laboratory and the care center of DREAM. He then stopped to see the solar panel system, an innovative hybrid energy system created by DREAM in collaboration with TOTAL, which is providing clean electricity also to the hospital.

In her speech Sister Teresita, head of the hospital, pointed out how the solar panels are a further sign of the synergy between the Palau Hospital and DREAM, to ensure quality services for the benefit of the sick.

During his address, the Archbishop recalled his long friendship with the Community of Sant'Egidio and encouraged the sisters and the staff of DREAM to continue the fruitful collaboration that in these nine years of work together has already borne abundant fruit.
