The COVID-19 pandemic emergency still grips us, but the arrival of the vaccine in early 2021 has given hope to the world.
On the African continent, the vaccine is struggling to arrive and be distributed.
DREAM, which has been in Africa for 20 years to ensure fair and free access to treatment, committed to fighting infectious diseases, especially AIDS, and other chronic diseases, since 2020 has been working to combat COVID.
Masks, sanitation, swabs have been provided right from the start in DREAM health centres along with the implementation of awareness campaigns.
Today, the DREAM Programme is helping to vaccinate the population in the countries where it operates, managing so far to open vaccination hubs in Malawi, the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo, supporting the local health systems.
