Meeting in Paris of the DREAM Program team of the Community of Sant’Egidio and the Figlie della Carità
After two years of interruption due to travel difficulties caused by Covid, two intense days of work took place in Paris between the Figlie della Carità and the Community of Sant’Egidio to reflect and evaluate the progress of mutual collaboration in the implementation of the DREAM Programme in Africa.
We have now been working together for 17 years in 5 African countries and the fruit of this work has been the birth and growth of many DREAM centres and workshops.
Soon, the Figlie della Carità will open two new DREAM centres in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria.
In February next year, a new pan-African training course for the personnel of the Daughters of Charity is planned in order to relaunch the spirit of DREAM in Africa.
The meeting ended with renewed enthusiasm for the fruitful collaboration and the satisfaction of being able to work together again in Africa for the health of so many sick people.
