The initiative, organized by the DREAM Program of the Community of Sant’Egidio under the patronage of Municipality XII, will take place on Sunday, December 22. The run will begin at 9:30 AM in the area in front of the senior center at the entrance of Villa Pamphili, accessible from Via Leone XIII No. 30.

The Christmas Run 2024 is a non-competitive event open to everyone: seasoned runners, walkers, and anyone who wishes to join for a day of sports and solidarity. The participation fee is €10, entirely allocated to support the DREAM Program.

“An event that, as tradition dictates, brings citizens together in a splendid moment combining sports and solidarity,” stated Sandro Petrolati, Capitol Group Leader of Demos.

The DREAM Program of the Community of Sant’Egidio, active for 23 years, supports healthcare systems in 10 Sub-Saharan African countries. With a network of 50 healthcare centers and 28 molecular biology laboratories, DREAM provides care and prevention to over 500,000 patients while training local healthcare personnel.

“The proceeds from this year’s Christmas Run will go toward purchasing a Thermoablation device for treating Cervical Cancer in Mozambique,” emphasized Stefano Orlando, speaking on behalf of Sant’Egidio.
