IN.FOR.MO. – Training and Data for Sustainable Health Policies in Mozambique
Descrizione progetto
The IN.FOR.MO. – Training and Data to Inform Sustainable Health Policies and Assess Quality Health Services project was developed with the aim of strengthening the Mozambican health system and contributing to the achievement of health and well-being for all.
Through an integrated approach that combines training, scientific research, data collection and the delivery of health services, the project seeks to provide concrete tools and up-to-date knowledge to support evidence-based health policies.
Particular attention will be devoted to addressing communicable diseases (HIV and HPV) and non-communicable diseases (diabetes and hypertension), two areas that are crucial for the future of public health in Mozambique.
Specific Objectives
Increasing awareness
To inform approximately 35,000 people in five Mozambican districts, as well as policy makers and the scientific community, about the main risk factors related to HIV, HPV, diabetes and hypertension.
Strengthening health services
To improve the quality of clinical and diagnostic services for people living with HIV and advanced HIV—who are particularly exposed to co-infections and co-morbidities—in seven selected health facilities (approximately 30,000 beneficiaries).
Assessing and proposing replicable models
