Last November 28 in the Headquarters of the Community of Sant’Egidio, the ceremony of the signature of the Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Cyprus and the Community of Sant’Egidio for the support of the DREAM Program in Malawi and Guinea took place.

The ceremony was attended by numerous ambassadors.

Cyprus wished to renew the commitment already made in recent years in supporting DREAM, recognizing its undoubted quality and effectiveness in the fight against AIDS in Africa, despite the difficult economic crisis of the moment.

The intervention funded by the Republic of Cyprus will allow supporting treatment for tens of thousands of patients currently receiving treatment in Malawi and Guinea.

The agreement was signed by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. George Georghiou and the President of the Community of Sant’Egidio, Prof Marco Impagliazzo.
