The activities of the DREAM mobile clinic in the Dondo district in Mozambique
In recent months, the DREAM mobile clinic has provided invaluable medical assistance to the communities living in the resettlement areas in the Dondo district, Sofala, in Mozambique.
During each mission, our team conducted medical visits, provided health instructions, distributed medication, offered psychological support, and administered vaccinations. These services are crucial for the residents in these areas, many of whom have discontinued their medical treatments due to the long distances and high costs associated with reaching healthcare facilities.
Moreover, the poor hygiene and sanitation conditions and the limited availability of services in these areas make our work even more essential.
Last but not least, we believe it’s crucial to focus on disease prevention, especially in a country like Mozambique, where certain infectious diseases, such as HIV and HPV, are still prevalent.
These activities are made possible thanks to the support of the 8×1000 Soka Gakkai to the project “DREAM: combating HIV, cervical cancer, and malnutrition in Beira.”
