Together with the Global Fund in order to end the HIV and TB epidemic in Kenya
Descrizione progetto
This project is working towards the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and shares the 2017/2022 Global Fund Strategy – Investing to end epidemics. The project aims to improve the health of people with HIV with prevention, testing and treatment services for HIV and by increasing the scientific research on the diagnosis of TB. Particular attention is paid to the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, to welcoming and taking care of women and girls, who are affected particularly badly by HIV and are made extremely fragile by the social and cultural stigma. Extending the healthcare centres supported by the Community of Sant’Egidio intends to facilitate the population’s access to specific, free of charge treatment.
