The meeting was an important moment of dialogue and recognition, stemming from WHO’s interest in exploring our approach and identifying concrete areas for national-level collaboration. It also represented a significant step in terms of institutional visibility and in highlighting the project supported by AICS, which has made it possible to strengthen the quality of care for people with chronic diseases, as well as for women and children.

The DREAM Clinic is now a key point of reference for integrated, free, and high-quality healthcare, made possible by funding from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). This support has enabled the creation of essential health services and infrastructure in a context marked by fragility and complex needs. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to showcase these achievements and to further strengthen the dialogue with institutional partners.

At the end of the visit, the WHO representative sent a letter of thanks, expressing great appreciation for the quality of the reception, the services provided, and the patient-centered approach:

“I particularly appreciated the quality of the presentation of your services, the guided tour of the facilities, and the enriching exchanges we had. Your commitment, professionalism, and vision for quality care for people living with chronic diseases are truly inspiring.”

Dr. Belizaire also reiterated WHO’s willingness to build a collaborative framework around the Ministry of Health’s initiatives, emphasizing their readiness to foster meaningful synergies for the benefit of the Central African population.
